After seventeen years in Downtown Port Huron, Alexander Fine Jewelers relocated to Fort Gratiot Township, Michigan in April 2010. Alexander Fine Jewelers established a new mission: “To become number one in the Tri-County area for diamond engagement rings”.

Our Challenge - To achieve simplicity, harmony and elegance between all facets of a new design solution, while integrating existing reconditioned Bailey, Banks & Biddle jewelry display cases into our overall design solution.

Lighting coves surround the entire space, composed of T-8 cost-effective indirect fluorescent lamps, providing a consistent diffused lighting atmosphere throughout the sales area.

Kurt Versen 4” square, energy-efficient lighting fixtures highlight jewelry showcases, and reveal the most intricate details of each diamond or jewelry selection, when removed from the showcase for intimate viewing. Kurt Versen fixtures do not generate excessive heat (a typical problem in many jewelry stores).

The multi-dimensional drywall ceilings are suspended from the structure above with a USG drywall suspension system and metal studs. The ceilings reveal and simple and elegant design composition to enhance and draw attention to the jewelry cases below.

Jim Langolf, Owner of Alexander Fine Jewelers, oversees the sales floor, from a private office, composed of floor to ceiling clear glass.
